The uncontrolled use of toothpaste with added fluoride can cause fluorosis in children of preschool age. Dentists recommend caution on the use of toothpastes in children aged less than 2 years. Flushing dental compositions containing fluoride and the use of food supplements fortified with fluoride should be made only to persons at high risk for tooth decay. Consumers are encouraged to know the fluoride content in drinking water. Serving fluorinated products, if necessary, should be often, but in small quantities. Children under the age of 8 years is not recommended to drink water containing more than 2 x 10-6 fluoride. A global trend – development of children's toothpastes with low fluoride content, and generally without fluoride for children under 3 years old, and on the labels of drinks, along with calorie, specify the content of fluorine. The study showed that about 10% of children have fluorosis of milk teeth and 25% consumed 2 times larger amounts of fluoride than recommended..
