Ian McEwan, British born in 1948 is, perhaps, the living English writer of more prestige. Condensed in barely two hundred pages, having as main characters two young newlyweds, McEwan tells us a story full of affective deficiencies, due to prejudices and inconceivable demands for any young man of the 21st sigio. Set in the early sixties of the 20th century, the author focuses the main action in a hotel room, and using continuous flashback shreds the personalities of the two protagonists through the narrative of his experiences. These experiences explain their behaviors, product of the frustrations and the demure education has received a generation that sees as today’s youth lives with fullness, naturalness and unconsciousness everything what was vetoed them. The hardness of the treatment and the contempt for the personal development of the youth of the time spend invoice throughout history. Super novel, which at the end a glimpse of the consequences that can have a unique gesture in the rest of our lives..
